Caroline Edenfield

Chief Executive Officer


Caroline grew up in Macon, Georgia and received a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and English from Brenau College and a Master’s in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from Mercer University.

She began her career working in the field of finance and accounting in 1997. Caroline served in multiple Administration and Finance positions within the Medical sector and rose to the position of Controller for CareSouth Homecare Professionals.

She felt a call in a different direction and began working in the Non-Profit Sector in 2002, as an accountant for The Methodist Home. After several years at the Home, she left to become the Chief Financial Officer for the Girl Scouts of Historic Georgia. Caroline returned to The Foundation and served as the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer. She now is the Chief Executive Officer for The Foundation of The Methodist Home.

Terry Proffitt

Chief Financial Officer


Terry grew up in Dalton, Georgia and earned a Bachelor’s of Business Administration from Emory University. He started a career in Law Enforcement with the University of Georgia Police in 1978. After obtaining a Master’s Degree in Education from UGA, Terry went to work for ConAgra-Country Pride in Gainesville, Georgia as Division Safety Manager. He then joined the newly created Georgia Public Safety Training Center in 1983 to help with the facility construction and agency startup. Terry retired from the Training Center in 2009 with over 31 years of service in Law Enforcement and State Government.

He then joined Raymond James Financial Services as a financial advisor. During his tenure there, he completed Dave Ramsey’s Financial Counselor training in Nashville, Tennessee and he has led several Financial Peace University and Legacy classes. Terry also participated in the Smartvestor Advisor program for the Central Georgia area. In August of 2020, he retired from Raymond James and started as The Foundation’s Chief Financial Officer.

Candy Sangster

Database Manager


Candy began working in the Development Department of The Methodist Home in June of 2005. In 2010, she graduated from Central Georgia Technical College as a certified phlebotomist. Realizing that her calling was to remain serving at The Methodist Home, she continued working in Development until feeling led to work for The Foundation as an administrative assistant.

In 2020, Candy was asked to serve as the Blackbaud Database Manager for The Methodist Home and The Foundation. For 16 years, Candy has grown to love both the children and donors that we serve. Candy’s personal mission is to ensure each child and donor know just how important they are, not only to The Foundation but to her. In addition to her love for The Foundation, Candy serves her local church as the Youth Leader. In her spare time Candy enjoys photography.
